OSTEOPATHY FOR ADULTS
It deals with structural and mechanical problems of the musculoskeletal type which can however be associated with functional alterations of the organs and viscera and of the craniosacral system.

It is an approach that focuses on the health of the person rather than on the disease. It is based on a non-symptomatic approach which seeks out functional alterations that may be far from the area of the body where the symptom or pain occurs, but which, bringing them back into harmony, restores stability and health to the entire body system.
Why Osteopathy?
At the Italian health level, she has been classified as a prevention health figure, therefore even those who do not have a specific problem can book a session with the osteopath to promote the well-being of the body.
When, on the other hand, you have a problem that you want to find a remedy for, osteopathy is an excellent ally.
It proves to be very effective, combined with other therapies, in various disorders such as:

-
musculoskeletal problems such as low back pain, sciatica, sprains, pain in the cervical area or disorders due to disc protrusions
-
osteoarthritis, joint and muscle pain from trauma,
-
infections, for example ear infections and sinusitis
-
gynecological disorders, for example vaginitis or menstrual pain
-
problems with the gastrointestinal tract, for example gastroesophageal reflux, gastritis, constipation.
-
headaches
-
scar treatment
-
temporomandibular disorders

How does an osteopathic session take place?

The session begins with the opening of a medical record which consists in the explanation of the reason for the consultation and the patient's previous medical history.
For us osteopaths, the path your body has taken to get here is very important.
The initial phase also helps to discriminate problems that are not in our area and, if anything, refer to the right professional or general practitioner.
Osteopathic manipulated treatment makes use of different approaches, each of which includes specific techniques based on the dysfunction to be treated and the person in therapy.

But how many times will I have to go to the osteopath?

It is very difficult to make a prediction especially if you do not know the patient. Each body is unique and each one responds differently to the treatment.
Your osteopath will be able to advise you and decide together the right path for your problem and for you.
